Cool clean lakes . . .
      Fragrant pines . . .
Graceful birches . . .            The story of Cranberry Inn Resort

lodgeCranberry Inn is located one mile from the town of Eagle River on the shores of Yellow Birch Lake, of the Eagle River Chain of 28 lakes and connecting rivers and streams. At the beginning of our driveway is Silver Lake, a spring-fed lake with a beautiful swimming beach and cool waters ideal for fishing. Our Cranberry Cove is a Landscape of native plants and trees mixed with flowers, herb and vegetable gardens, berry patches and fruit trees.
lakeStrolling the paths that crisscross our landscape, you will find an outdoor fire pit with chairs, tables, swings and hammocks for outdoor  cooking and visiting around the fire . . a vista view of Yellow Birch Lake . . . sunbathing decks ... our lake side offering Adirondack furniture for lounging, piers for fishing and docking your boat, and a swimming area. Boat cruising from our pier will lead you in and about our communities, where you will find restaurants, golf, shopping, beaches, fishing and island stops.
saunaOur Authentic Finnish Sauna bathhouse is open to the public by reservation. Guests of Cranberry Inn receive special rates. Built of native woods and stone, the bathhouse offers a Large wood-fired steam room, showers, kitchen, library and outdoor deck . . . A wonderful spot to gather and experience a therapeutic bath that relaxes, refreshes and cleanses the body.
Our lodging is located in a residential neighborhood, once a part of a farm homestead where today only memories remain. The north end of our property borders a bay that was known as "The Bull Pen" during the logging era of the early 1900's. Logs were stored there until they could be floated to town and hauled to the mills. Today this is a good fishing spot. On the south end of our property an ice house once stood. Ice blocks were cut from Silver Lake in the winter and stored in the ice house, supplying the community with refrigeration until the next winter.
Our coach house and barn have been renovated to house comfortable cabins ... simple and clean accommodations with kitchen, bath, bedrooms, fresh linens, outside deck and barbecue grill . . . adult oriented, available by day, week or month at reasonable rates. Special weekend packages, optional bed & breakfast and group rates are offered year round.
There is much to do in our Wisconsin northwoods and our neighboring Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Just minutes away are the Nicolet and Ottawa National forests with secluded lakes, waterfalls, botanical tours, hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing and snowmobile trails. Many events are held in our community throughout the year: Cranberry Fest . . . World Championship Snowmobile Derby . . .fishing tournaments . . . bird and deer hunting . . . antiquing . . . art shows . . . canoeing and kayaking our rivers and streams . . . and Native American gambling casinos, offering blackjack, slot machines, poker, roulette and entertainment.
The terraceWhether you are interested in a relaxed or a high-energy vacation, you are invited spring, summer and fall. Winter is our lazy time of year. Steaming in the sauna ... a little snowshoeing, skiing or snowmobiling . . . sauna some more . . . followed by feasts, visiting and Lounging ... Very therapeutic to the mind, body and soul.
